The HX17guide program

The receivers need to be told where the transmitters are located so they can compute their position.  This is done by constructing a map.txt file and sending it to the receivers using the map button provided by the hx17guide program. Once the map has been loaded and tested, it should be burned into the EEPROM of the receiver. Before the map can be sent, the data stream from the receiver must be stopped by clicking the stop button. The data format in the map.txt is (transmitter ID) (its X position) (its Y position) (its Z position)  space separates the values. All the transmitters in the system needs to be mapped like shown on the right.

map.txt

0 1000 1000 0
1 1950 1000 0
2 1950 1950 0
3 1000 1950 0
4 1000 1000 0
5 1950 1000 0
6 1950 1950 0
7 1000 1950 0

The hx17guide program logs the data on a file named by the current time and date. Although data is straight forwards and is likely to be utilized using specialized microprocessors and palmtops, the program makes the data available through DDE, in case multiple other programs need to tap into the stream. The data is logged as shown on the right. The format is (receiverID dummy value always 0), Xpos(mm), Ypos(mm), Zpos(mm), time (increment 10mS)
