| The Hexamite locator system is designed to help locate objects and people, it has the ability to isolate signals within confined areas. Unlike RFID, ultrasound cannot travel between walls therefore it is possible to determine on which floor the ID carriers are. Locator hardware is simple, it consists of three components, tags (transmitters), receivers and monitors that make the data available to computers. Simple associations and distribution describe the HABITAG software and hardware below. |
| A. Transmitter Association: Give a tag transmitter alias (name) that associates the tag (badge) with the carrier (an object or a person). |
| B. Receiver Association: Receivers should have aliases that associate them with a location. Names of rooms, floors, work areas and etc. |
| C. Central Interface Distributes the above associations (object whereabouts and emergency status) gainfully to the user or users on a global scale real time (live). |

A folder called config comes with the Habitag Software, two files of great importance can be found in this folder. TagList.TXT contains the association nomenclature for tags, and LocusList.TXT contains the nomenclature for receivers. Only listed receivers and tags are included in the distributed whereabouts information.

| These lines are read by the program and interpreted. For example the first line T3,JohnCroft,# HabiTag T3 has been given the name JohnCroft, and the following # indicates that T3 is not associated with any vocal or wav file. Line 7: T8,KingGeorge,Gis here T8 has been associated with the name KingGeorge and the audio file Gis. Some tags have a switch which if pressed releases an alarm alert, the locator program will play the sound file Gis if the switch of T8 is pressed. | TagList.txt

B. Receiver Association Nomenclature |

| All receivers are labeled, the receiver number can be found on the back of the device. The first line associates R2 with the Propulsion Lab Room2 for which there is no audio file. Second line associates R3 with Accounts Payable and an audio file called accounts. If a tag button is pressed inside Accounts Payable area, the windows locator program will play the wav file "accounts.wav" | LocusList.txt

Problem C. Locator Information Access |

| The Habitag locator system uses monitors to collect
information from the surrounding receivers. These monitors can be
connected together on wire networks or RF networks, if needed they can be used as repeaters
to increase information range. Data can travel from
monitor to monitor through a repeater function over long distances
although the range of each monitor is only 15meters radius. This allows
the data broadcast to be limited and controlled. If local
regulations allow a booster can be
added to the monitor so a single monitor can cover the entire premises.
The Habitag locator program collects information from the monitors into a single folder. At midnight the locator program packs old data and starts a new file for the coming day. This folder may be a private folder on a private computer. Or this folder can be a Google Drive synchronized into an online storage and available on the "information superhighway" to those in possession of a proper password. |

reader.txt tells the computer where to place the name, location and time associations. On the right that location is shown to be on a private drive. In other words the data is limited to the computer collecting it and shared on the network it may be linked to. |

| If a google drive is set up then whereabouts data is stored on the collecting computer and synchronized on the web for all holders of a password to see. Google Drive 5G bytes is free. |
